Parada Custom Guitars is the name under which I, Antonio Parada, present my work as an individual luthier. It functions as a brand identity, but it is not a company or a production shop. The emphasis is on personal authorship: my design language, my standards, and my direct involvement in every instrument.

Every guitar is developed as a close collaboration between the client and myself. I work directly with each player to define ergonomics tailored to their body, technique, and practical needs, so that the instrument feels personal not only in appearance, but in use.

I build complete instruments only, not individual parts. Each guitar is conceived and made as a whole, where construction, ergonomics, electronics, materials, finish, and final setup are part of the same unified process.

I build bolt-on, set-neck, and neck-through instruments, choosing the construction method according to the concept of the guitar, its structural requirements, the desired feel, and the overall design direction. When necessary, I also design custom electronic circuitry to provide functionality that serves the instrument and the player in a clear and musically useful way.

The visual side of the instrument is also part of this collaborative process. I work with the client on woods, colors, and general aesthetic direction, but always within my own design principles. I reserve final approval over the design, because every instrument must remain coherent with the identity and standards of Parada Custom Guitars.

I do not build replicas or direct copies of existing instruments. References and inspirations may be discussed, but the final result must be an original instrument with its own identity.

I use only top-quality hardware, electronics, and components. I do not lower the quality of critical parts simply to reduce cost, even if requested. For me, the integrity of the instrument comes first, and every component must support performance, reliability, and long-term quality.

My finishing approach is a central part of my work. I do not use solid colors, gloss finishes, or thick plastic-like coatings. All finishes are based on stain, shellac, and satin-to-matte varnish, and are intended to work with the natural figure, color, and character of the woods. The finish always preserves the tactile texture of the wood, allowing the player to feel the material itself rather than a heavy synthetic layer over it.

At its core, Parada Custom Guitars is not about producing instruments in volume. It is about building original, carefully considered guitars in which design, function, touch, materials, and construction all work together as the expression of one luthier’s work.
